Jessica (ג'סיקה) comes from the biblical name "Yiskah" (יסכה, or with vowel marks: יִסְכָּה) means "god beholds" in Hebrew.

David (דוד, or with vowel marks: דָוִד) means "beloved" in Hebrew.

Avery (אייברי) is derived from the Norman French form of the name Alfred (derived from the Old English element ælf "elf" combined with ræd "counsel").

Tattoos are not allowed in Judaism and a Jewish tattooed person cannot be buried in a Jewish cemetery (the morticians take it off before the burial). And yet, many Jewish cemeteries turn a blind eye and bury the deceased anyway.

I was told that Jews can't have tatoos. I receieved this info when I got one & a co-worker said that I couldn't be buried in a Hebrew cemetary because of that. I'm not Jewish, so I didn't care. Was she wrong?
