I think it is pretty funny, the cat is playing you!

Mine walks in front of me all the time, but I didn't ever give him a treat. I don't wear shoes around the house so I usually stop before I move him far. Stop giving the silly thing treats! Tell him what the score is! He will make you look really bad then!
Good luck!
I remember a quote by Robert Heinlein a sci-fi writer, "never try to out stubborn a cat"

If you take one cat to the vet and explain the situation, there's a good chance he'll give you medication for all the animals. Try calling around and explaining the situation. Unfortunately, there are vets out there who are fairly mercenary about refusing treatment without payment. But some do exist who do care about helping animals. Try suggesting that with the number of cats you have, that helping you out now will ensure a great deal of business in the long run! BTW, the medications they give for an eye infection is a cream that isn't that expensive, and an antibiotic that is usually a pink liquid that is children's amoxocillian. (the dosage for a cat varies around 10 milligrams... I think its a 1 for one pound ratio but I'm NOT sure). If the eye is ulcerated (eyes in this case), they definitely need the antibiotic. A visit would cost about $50 and up, plus $20 for the cream, and the antibiotic is about $30 (the antibiotic is more important). One bottle is good for two to three medium sized cats. This will all vary based on the vet's prices... and DO have him/her confirm all this (dose usage per bottle per your cats) as he is the expert (hopefully) and he'll have all the proper information from you. If you have 10 cats your probably one of those people who can't go by a stray cat/kitten without feeling your heart break and taking it home. I know what that's like... but you've got to remember you're not doing them any favors if you don't have the money/ resources to take care of them or place them. If what I said here is true... there are people/org's out there you can hook up with who will help you out. It's not easy, but the best way is to vounteer for a fosterage program. That way you'll have the organization backing you legally (a lot of states are making it illegal to own more than 4 cats) plus you'll have them backing you MEDICALLY. Stray cats tend to be sick and tend to need medical care. Otherwise you're going to just go through alot of heartbreak. Nothing is worse than watching a kitten die because you don't have the $60 to get it medication... and you've got 10.

No he's not, he just found a new way to get treats from you. Just ignore him unless you know for a fact that you did kick him. Next time you do accidently kick him, either bend down, give him a quick pet and tell him sorry, or pick him up, pet him and say sorry then put him promptly down. He'll soon get the message that he won't get anymore treats, just an apology from you. And don't worry about his feelings cats get over things pretty quick. That's what I do with mine anyway.

Your cat can't make you look bad, you are doing a good job yourself.

I know it's not funny, but your cat's s smart (***).
Cut out the treats though, and be more careful where you put your feet.

BTW, let me know if your cat teaches you any more neat tricks

just ignore his behavior, unless you actually know for a fact that you have stepped on him or kicked him. He will learn that he cant fool you and he will quit. if not i would put him on a timeout so he knows its not acceptable.. darn cats.. they are always doing stuff like that.

Well quit giving him treats after you accidentally kick him. Giving treats is a way of commending him for something he did that was good so gee why do we think hes doing it now.
