..do I have to install Windows 98 first then XP?
The computer is 600Mhz 128MB 15GB.

if u want a clean installation, set the computing device as well from the CD stress. placed the living house windows XP CD into the stress and restart the device. Then follow the prompts or training in case you opt for to keep both living house windows ninety 8 and living house windows XP then start up ur computing device. After Win98 lots up, placed the living house windows XP contained in the CD stress. The installation will start up immediately if it doesnot open the CD stress Folder and click on setup. Then follow the prompts or instrucions. you could also installation a clean replica utilizing this methodology

You can install Windows XP if Windows 98 is working XP will install if 98 is not working ? install XP to the HD it has OS on it.

Double-check the memory requirements on xp. You can find that on microsoft.com or on the software box. You can put xp on there without 98 as long as the memory fits the requirements. if the requirements are 128 exactly, you can do it, but it might run slow if you end up putting too many programs on there. but other than that, you are good.

I don't think a computer with 128mb can support winXP. you don't have to reinstall the previous operating system. if you upgrade the memory, you should be able to.

you can load xp directly.But refer whether your 600Mhz processor can get along with xp
