the only difference is they don't say christian did it. but rather it's people behavior. but when it comes to Islam, then it's very easy to say Islam did it. while in fact our women are treated like a princess, and my mom is treated like a Queen. thanks.

I support you, actually I recall a forwarded email where it talked about a Muslims gowing a beard to be called a terrorist versus a jew growing one to be called religious, a Muslim girl covering the head to be called opressed versus a white girl does the same to be called cute.
In general, for non-Muslims, we are not as bad as "some" of you think. I know loads of non-Muslims that have treated me and my religion with respect. If you don't understand something, please ask, we will do our best to answer and explain,

I am reading on that now, and you are right. it is not the religion of Islam that treats women badly....but please understand that we in the West hear things about the Middle East that are not allowed to happen here in the US....women are not punished by violence or death for infidelity. While infidelity is a sin in christianity, it is not against the Law here. The US practices separation of Church and State...we do not prosecute based on religious beliefs, but on written law. There is where the difference lies. In the Middle East, the laws are based on the religious rules set forth in the Qu'ran. It is not the same here. ALL religious teachings are irrelevant in terms of of law. This difference, in my opinion, is what has caused much of the erroneous information being spread about Islam. I personally accept the holy status of Jesus (pbuh) and Mohammad (pbuh) equally. And, having read the Bible and the Qu'ran, see very little difference in their teachings.

Very True! These days what Muslims do (especially bad ones) is portrayed as if they are part of Islam's teachings. On the other hand even if priest's are raping boys in the Church it is viewed as a bad person's own behavior, not related to religion. sigh!

A queen and princess locked away in a tower. No doubt some Muslims treat their women well. And the crimes against women in Muslim countries go unreported far more often than they do here. Especially since it will destroy the reputation of her and her family if she makes the accusation public or she may even be punished herself.

Seriously, take a look at Islam. There are good things about it, but the way it looks at women is not one of them. America is about freedom and choice. Muslims often treat women as if they need protection and to be controlled. Teach your men to control themselves and women won't need all those things.
