Windows XP requires activation using the COA number. You can not activate two different installations using the same COA number, so eventually the booted installation will quit working. There are ways to bypass the activation but you will loose the ability to install microsoft upgrades and security fixes. In the long run, you are better off just paying for the second copy.

You can install xp on as many computers as you want. You just have to buy a copy for each computer. If you don't want the other computers to go online, then don't connect them to the internet.

you won't be able to update it. Also when you install XP with a retail version or with another computer's XP, you might have to download drivers for some of the hardware to work. I think it will be too much of a pain in the butt, especially if you don't know what you are doing, which you probably don't since you are asking the question. Good luck

You can install a copy on as many computers as you like, however, you can only activate it on one.

Yes you can but the non online PC will never get the updates but then most are security updates that will not effect it if it never goes online.

You can, but the non-online one will not receive updates, and you can activiate only on one PC (unless you do not require activation i.e. multi-licence)
