I saw in the news today that President Bush announced he signed a bill to spend 1.2 Billion on fence between U.S. and taco land. Is anyone else glad he finally pulled his out of his rear and is doing something to curb all the illegals and easy access to the country?

Who cares build the fence. The American public has clamored that they wish for this atrocity to be built. Then once all those billions of dollars are sunk into the building of this shameful wall......there will be no money for mass deportations...You seed this is why the government is building this wall... We all know that it will not serve the purpose for which it is built....They didn't even build a levy that could protect New Orleans..... the illegals crossing are just as unpredictable.....Build the fence so they will be able to say later well we don't have the money now for deportations.......Also you will see discounts on ladders on the other side of the border. You just need a ladder to safely scale the wall without a scratch.

Pray tell what nationality are YOU? Is your bloodline so pure that you don't have the capacity to find a shred of sympathy for people who, by no choice of their own, were born in poverty and simply come into our country wanting a better way of life? It is YOU who should be deported to "taco land" so that you can experience how wonderful it is to be on the wrong side of the fence!

I do not think it will stop it completely. They seem to like to make tunnels. The government must also stop the companies from hiring illegals. I am not against Mexicans coming to the US to better their lives but come as a guest worker and sign up. Avoid the fear of being sent back and prevent women being used as prostitutes.
Illegal is Illegal and breaking the law in that respect is wrong. The Mexican President needs to stop and help his people. They do not want to be separated from the families to go to the US but the Mexican government forces them since he does not help them.

New fence is a ridiculous waste of tax payer money, much like the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the pitiful, failed war on drugs. Think how much more could be done with the money to assuage poverty, rehabilitate addicts, help legal immigrants and return the US to a respected place in the world.

I'm glad they are taking this step in the right direction.

Not to disappoint you or anything, but one of the layers will probably be corrugated steel or iron. Not at all shiny.

I'm glad he signed the bill. Now lets see how long it takes for them to actually start building the fence.
