Weird? No. Uncommon? No. Worrisome? Only you can decide.

If you want to become less shy, take a small step each day to stretch your comfort zone. Begin by asking a stranger for the time. Or commenting to someone walking a dog, "Nice Dog." Do something like that every day for a week, then try something a little more daring, like asking for directions (even if you already know them). Or asking someone in a movie line if they know what the movie is about.

Only take small steps, but let each one be a step forward. And keep it up. Because shyness works at keeping anxiety at bay, it has a way of sneaking back unless you work to maintain the gains you've achieved.

I think after 1000 years I will be shy the same way I am now .
Age is not a barrier for shyness . Also shyness is not bad , its a natural way of avoiding certain situations .
Be shy and enjoy it !

Forget the shoulds. They could be why you're feeling unsure of yourself.

I used to be painfully shy but managed to overcome it. A lot of it came from the environment I grew up in (societal as well as family quirks) and I had to find ways to learn new ways of thinking. It was hard work, but worth it. I'm guessing that you're worth it too. Us shy folk usually have something really good to say.

Everyone has a different shy level. If you are not happy with it then you can try to change things. It just takes exposure to what makes you uncomfortable.

Shyness is just as much a personality trait as being outgoing and extroverted. It's normal.
