does anyone know where i can download any version of microsoft word or works for free? i'm a student who desperately needs word for term papers, but because i'm paying for school myself i CANNOT afford to buy it! please help!

Why bother? You can use online applications like Writely (www.writely.com), or you can download Open Office for free! These programs are just as good as Word, if not better in some aspects. And, they're FREE.

You cannot get Microsoft Word for free. Try openoffice.org. They have free downloadable software.
