The latest news said they dropped the plans.
I don't know what exactly there would be to protest. The whole idea that it is because the governor said something about the church is insane, just like this particular group.
It is a cult that operates under the guise of a church, and nothing else.
I've seen them in action locally. They protested some military funerals a while back, and there were actually some locals who had to be detained because they were going to shoot them. These whack jobs are just opportunistic troublemakers, plain and simple.

They protested at a funeral in my homestead city this summer season. The funeral became into for a fallen soldier. Our community veterans alongside with over 2 hundred veterans rode motorcycles carrying the yankee flag surrounded the group protesting and drowned out their yelling with the roar of their motorcycles so the kin would desire to not see or hear them. It became right into a great sight to work out all those flags. THIS group IS terrible. My prayers and recommendations our with the families in Pennsylvania.

Reverend Phelps has a death wish. If he is truly planning on this, I'm sure he will be stopped and imprisoned before he even hits the Pennnsylvania border.
He is trying to incite violence and riots....
He is a hateful, horrible person.
He and the NRA need to be banned from the state for the next year. Or be made to sit and home and THINK before they speak.
Spread the word - we have started an Amish Support Ribbon here in South Florida.... it is a simple black and white stripe ribbon worn in the "support loop". Wear one to show your commitment to non-violence in America.

I have a hard time believing anyone would protest at the funerals of 5 murdered Amish girls. But if it did happen, I'm sure 99.9999999% of everyone here would think it's reprehensible.

Funerals are ALWAYS private manners, even if they might involve a controversial issue, like war. having a protest at a funeral disrespects those that have died and those living. I'm tempted to keep track of those that do protest at funerals to protest at theirs when they die about protesters. But then I'd be no better then them. They are sorry soul's feeling victimized by the world, when they only did it to themselves.

I am, so outraged that they would call themselves Christians, and then carry out such a act in the name of God. They should all be put in prison if they follow through with it. It is such a tragedy that these families have had to deal with and will deal with for the rest of their lives. A whole community has been affected. It is just unbelievable and makes me sick. Totally unbelievable, their have been few times in my life when I have been at a loss for words, this is one of them. We all need to keep these families of the victims in prayer. God bless

I am.
They'll be here in my home town Saturday to protest at the funeral of a soldier killed in the war.
Try to contact them, I dare anyone. The hatred that spews from the other end of the phone is tangible.

I'm outraged that they are doing this in the name of the same God I worship...
Nobody with any sense could possibly believe that any true God would endorse this junk, let alone anyone who has ever had a real encounter with Jesus.

Omg - the GodHatesFags group?! I had no idea but I'm not surprised; they picket *everything*. They are horrible, heartless people. They even admit they believe God is a God of Hate.
I hope someone stops them - or makes them stay far away enough not to bother the mourners. :(
