I have to disagree about Saab being a great car. I have a 9-3 Vector and it likes to spend most of its time in the dealership being repaired. Luckily, it's still under warranty, but for a "near luxury" car I would have expected something considerably more reliable. The car also squeaks and rattles more than a used Ford Festivea.

As far as the whole maker of jets claim, it is true that Saab does build planes but that division split from the Saab automobile line years ago. The two now share nothing more than a name.

If anyone else here loves the Saab this much, please let me know, I would LOVE to trade out of mine.

Knew a guy who had a 9000 turbo, it was a nice car. My sister's boyfriend used to have a 1980's SAAB. He liked it.

When a company use to make jets, they better make a fine automobile. I agree, Saab do make great cars.

We have a 2006 2.0l convertible. It is quiet, exceeds the mpg ratings (gets low 30's mpg hwy), has comfortable seats and *plenty* of pep.
It fared very well with Consumer Reports and reliability issues appear to be in the past.

We had one (1985 model, I think) that already had 114,000 miles on it when we got it and kept going for another 50,000. Near the end it hated hills, but it gave us very little trouble.
