Is it possible to weigh 235 lbs, walk on the treadmill for 20 minutes, and burn 130 calories walking at a rate of 3.8 mph and an incline level of 4? The meter on the treadmill said I burned 130 calories today...that seems like too many. is this accurate?

No it seems right. When you are heavier, you burn calories faster. Also you burn more calories the higher the incline. However, be aware that you were burning 130 calories. However, your body burns calories even when you do nothing, so you need to subtract that from the 130 calories to find out how many calories you actually lost from going ont he treadmill.

Thankyou for choosing me as best. I wouldn't ask anymore about evolution or anything invovling religion unless you are prepared to have some really nasty answers. Christians as a rule, although some can be rude, for the most part are loving as Jesus would be. Keep you chin up. Up is where miracles happen. PS, I have also met some really nice athiests as well, just I found several "evolutionists" to be very impatient. Oh, the answer is correct above, you go girl, you'll feel better in no time.

The higher then incline, the more work you are doing and therefor the more calories you will burn. Its quite possible.
