i want to join the marines ones i graduate from high school do u think is a good idea i mean i always wanted to join in...........but since im christian and i go to church alot i dont want to leave gods home for shooting!

you can join , and ask for a mos that is something other than a grunt, you can get a desk job you wont do the killing you'll sent the paper work out for others to do it , or work on helicopter you wont do the killing the machines you work on will, You can work in a few other Field that wouldn't put you in the position to kill people, though you'd still have to train to shoot. There are lots of Christians in the corps. ( of each Branch of it too, catholics, Protestants, and there are also Muslims, and Buddhist etc.) But if not sure try another branch.. remember you have to pass a test and be fit to join,

The Marines offer many opportunites. Military service can prepare you for anything else you would like to do in the future. But, its really what you think. Do you really want to join the Marines? Then do it. If you have doubts, wait.

Might not be for you. Not only are the Marines hardcore, but they are often the first on foot in the battle zones. Maybe think about joining the National Guard or the Army Reserves.

There are a lot of Christians in the Marine Corps, including my husband. I think you should go for it! The Marines are awesome. They are the best! Good luck!

Then what do you want to join the marines for? As a marine you wouldn't kill innocent people. You are helping god by protecting the innocent.

In terms of capability the marines are an air,land and sea group.Saying that they have all kinds of military assets like VTOL aircraft like harriers. So in capability yes. But if you are hesitant like I am now a question may hang over us: Must I serve the God I know or kill people I don't know?

well it's your choice i love the marines!!!! and i think you should go for it but if you think it's wrong the it's not for you because the marines are the well most people say "bad a****" and do the most killing but on the other hand you are doing a good thing for our country and helping save lives and help restoring another country's rights.

You do what you got to do. Its good to have a religion and have a strong faith it in. Pray to God and he will provide you with an answer. If He sees that you may serve a better purpose in the marines then he will let you know. God will guide you and protect you on your path. Good luck!

The USMC has the worst quality of life, in the military. In basic training you get yelled at non-stop. When you get deployed you are gone for up to a year. You live in crap conditions. My advice is, if you want to join the military, join the Air Force. They have an excellent quality of life and they hardly ever get deployed.
