Be aware that different cancers have different causes. There will likely never be a cure that will be effective for all cancers.
Researchers have spent decades and billions of dollars on cancer research. Your best best to help is to get a science degree (M.D. or PhD or B.S.) in a field like medicine, genetics, pharmacology, immunology and the like.
Start studying now, who knows, you may get the next Nobel prize in medicine (physiology)!

Loads of people would like to create a cure for Cancer. Personally I think you are better off getting some decent qualifications before you get that ambitious.

Its very possible. If you have passion for it, then maybe its for you. Dont mind societal standards. It doesnt matter. Never mind the age...
You should be proud of yourself for actually having that desire despite being a teenager and all. Its a blessing... Compared to older people who dont even know what to accomplish in life, you are blessed.
... and if anybody says youre being dodgy, theyre just jealous because theyre probably old, jaded, and mad at themselves for not having the courage to do what they wanted to do when they were your age.

Thats not dodgy, Come on, if you feel you really want to do it, you must start by believing in yourself 1000%. Screw everyone else opinion, if you are passionate about it go for it no questions. Remember in life there is no such thing as 'i am too young, or too old, or too pink. Those rules are nothing but limiting rules and they will limit you for the rest of your life if you believe in them. Passion is the fuel for success, If this what you desire, if it is really really makes you happy go for it. In life to acheive the ultimate happiness is to follow your bliss. GOOD LUCK

I think it's great that you are ambitious about this! That is the seed of success. I would recommend to learn about cancer, to learn about nutrition, to learn about the damages that fast food industry puts out, and possibly prove to yourself, for example, that you can eat right, e.g., staying away from fast food, etc.
Actually, we can reduce the rates of cancer dramatically by eating right and exercising, by living a minimally stressful lifestyle (a tough challenge), and do our best not to pollute the environment. The fast food industry is the murder in this country, IMHO.
Best to you ambition! Don't give up, as you will encounter many oppositions.
