Go back to the previous cat food, and if you still want to switch try mixing 10% of the new with 90% of the old, then increasing proportions over time until the Moggie is used to it.

The most important lesson for you to learn is this: Cats are cats, and that is why we love their furry, purry, annoying selves!!!
Your cat is pissed at you.
Yep. He is.
YOU changed HIS food without his permission. He obviously liked his old food better than his new food. Sure, he is eating it ... but you MUST PAY for this act of human disobedience.
So he ignores you. That is Step #1 in cat revenge. Let me say that NOW would be a really good time to make amends, bring back his old food, and get him some treats and new toys.
Step #2 in cat revenge ... shred your couch.
Step #3 in cat revenge... hairballs on your new rug.
Step #4 in cat revenge ... pooping in your shoe.
Trust me, I speak from experience. BRING BACK HIS OLD FOOD!!!!!
Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It may just take a while for your cat to get used to the new food. And once he does, I am sure he will warm up to you again. Why don't you get him some special treats in the meantime? My cat likes the Kitty Kaviar -- it comes in a round container and is sold at nicer pet stores.

You have'nt learned yet. I too, found out the hard way. I spend about 20$ per month on cat food. Fancyfeast and Delicat. Its ALWAYS there so she is never hungry.

first...why'd you switch foods, this can give them an upset tummy...
try getting some toys that cats like to play with like, bell balls, feathers on a stick, toys with string and feathers, ( never leave pets alone with toys that have string(s), they could choke on them). Pet him and walk away, cats really hate to be ignored
