Illegals ? No they should not be rewarded for circumventing the law. There can not be whole scale amnesty, its morally wrong to all the legal immigrants that did it the right way.Its an insult to our country and our laws. Why not just give all petty criminals amnesty, open the cell doors. This would set a legal rule that would hurt our legal system for years to come.
No amnesty.

MVngs......I cant trace my ancestry back to a single person that came to this country ILLEGALLY.My ancestors came here in 1702,they were merchants looking to expand their holdings. They were settlers in a New World not illegals.

Your playing of the race card just doesn't work any more.
Not wanting illegals to get blanket amnesty for a criminal act has nothing to do with RACE..Its against the law.
If it were 12 million white/black/yellow/green/ people swarming this nation ,I would still feel the same.
NO AMNESTY

Shiv there were no laws against immigration to the New World. They didn't need papers then. But there are laws now and they must be obeyed.

The only ones that should be given amnesty are the ones waiting at home in their country to be let in, they have done all the paper work they have taken all the tests they no the language and they really want to be Americans and assimilate into our society, they don't want to change it, those are the people that should be given amnesty and let in, illegals need to be deported. If I had my way that is who I would give amnesty to, and I would say to all illegals go home and apply legally, and if they don't and they are caught then they will never be eligible and will be deported.

No. The US aleady gave amensty once, within the past 20 years, with the understanding and demand that future immigrants/family members abide by the law, apply for citizenship including learning the English Language. A large number. from one country in particular. took advantage of the offer, some respectfully others (in great number) not so much.

I am a first generation American, parent/grandparents from Germany during Hitler's reign, who sought refuge in America, became a citizen of America, served in American Military and raises the flag of America. Our family kissed the ground as they were permited in. We are blessed to have arrived. Many of my family members died trying to get here, yet they were honorable people full of integrity and came in using the front door as they gained access legally. Great example to their children, family and others.

The right thing obtained the wrong way is still the wrong thing.

What is an immigrant being given amnesty from? You are the same as everyone else who wants ILLEGAL immigrants given amnesty. You mix up LEGAL and ILLEGAL immigrants. Illegal immigrants should be given nothing.

Our forefathers were immigrants, however they were legal immigrants coming to America to find work and a better life. They can not be compared with the ILLEGAL immigrants, who come into our country by braking the law and then do not want to learn the English language, and wave Mexican flags in protest. The Illegals need to be returned to their country, and then seek to enter legally, if they wish.

All immigrants should be subjected to the same rules and regulations which are required to gain citizenship.

Just because one sneaks into the country from Mexico doesn't mean that he is exempt in any way from adhering to the current requirements.

yes, I think that illegal imigrants deserve an amnesty to live here in the u.s. i mean as long as they come here to work. most of the people that come here is for a better life and besides they do contribute a lot of money to our economy. they are not criminals if they come to work and take care of this country. it will be nice to give imigrants who have not commited a mayor crime an amnesty. I don't understand why some people are so racist!!!

No. they should not be rewarded for being dishonest. They should have applied for admittance to the country in the correct manner. If they did this and were refused, then it was because they were not wanted. So if they were not wanted as honest citizens; they are most certainly not wanted when they have proved their dishonesty,

Yes, I do believe that all the immigrants who are here illegally should be given amnesty. After all, if we trace our family trees, we were all immigrants at some point in time. I think that so long as they are here, willing to work (and they are) then I don't see any problems with it at all.
