Someone told me 20 percent, but i though a better tip would be a mushroom tip....or play a little game called "just the tip" Am i right, or am i right?

You are completely wrong, you tip for service received. The better the service, the better the tip. The tip has nothing to do with the food or the looks of the waitress. Just tip her with money, she doesn't need the other stuff.

One thing - NEVER tip someone on the basis of their looks. Always tip on the basis of how they are as a waitress/waiter! When people receive big tips they see that as the sign they are doing well at what they are being tipped for, so therefore if you tip a bad waiter/waitress then they will continue being poor at what they do. A good tip is 20%, giving more than that is ridiculous unless you or your table have been exceptionally difficult on the waiter/waitress.

screw the 20 percent, i was a waitress in my day and just the tip would have been a hell of a lot better!!

Leave her 20% or so and then leave her alone.
Chances are that she's already been hit on 200 times that day, and she's ready to go home and not be bothered anymore.
