My husband and I think it is VERY disgusting. I even wear shorts to bed for that time. We even wait for two days after I stop bleeding to make sure everything is over and done with. I just can't understand why some people like it. YUCK!
BUT to each his own I guess. I would NEVER allow anyone to do anything at that time of the month.
If you and the guy are into it, try it. There really isn't anything wrong with it. It is just a matter of preference.

I have been married for six years, have one child, and during this time, you can not get pregnant. Your uterus is shedding its llining and will not be able to hold an egg to fertilize. Have done it many times. Some women are more sensitive and 'excitable' that time of the month, which makes it very enjoyable. Also, some men like being with a women during that time of the month, it is a fetish of sorts.
If it bothers you then dont do it, but he isnt weird for wanting it.

There is nothing wrong with it. If you are comitted to someone and in a monogamus relationship then you shouldn't feel ashamed at all, use a towel, condom if that's what you all do, and enjoy. Personally if I can get it on that first day then my cycle doesn't last as long and I don't suffer with horible cramps either.

I understand your hang up. My thought is that if he doesn't mind, let him. It may take you several occasions to get comfortable with it yourself, but you shouldn't worry about it if he is fine with it. Women have hang ups as far as men and their bodily fluids as well. Would you offer something you really weren't willing to follow through on? I bet not, so enjoy and keep in mind you are less likely to get pregnant during that time anyway.
If you are concerned with making a mess, use a dark towel under yourself.

it's about how you feel, yes, lots of people don't mind but they do it like the other person that just answered: throw a towel down, it should be done where you can either hop into the shower (how bout doing it in the shower?) or have baby wipes & a towel to clean up after wards, masturbating often during your period gets rid of it fast or tell him to wait til your period gets a little lighter ...
