I mean people who go like 5 or 10 under. It causes traffic and sometimes accidents.

Or when people go 35 in a 45 because there's a cop somewhere nearby...why don't they get pulled over and atleast told to go the speed limit or something?

I agree - they should be told to go the speed limit. Going too fast or too slow is dangerous.

People do get tickets for driving too slow. Driving too slow is defined as: Driving at least 10 mph below the posted speed limit and is considered a non-aggressive behavior. It also falls under the catagory of Unsafe Driving and traffic impedence. Note that this violation is note taken into consideraiton during inclament driving conditions (like heavy rain, snowfall, icing on the road). This is because speed limit signs specify safe driving speeds under normal driving conditions.

Unless its otherwise posted people can drive under the speed limit as slow as they want up until they create a traffic hazard. Just keep in mind that that specific vehicle has to be the cause of the hazard, not the impatient people trying to get around the slow vehicle or the people riding so close to the slow vehicle that no one can brake without causing a rearend accident.

I have. I was driving with my sister once at about 4 in the morning on a dark, curvy, bumpy road. She was in labor and I was trying to take it easy on her. I was going about 10 under the limit, and there was NO traffic except me and the cop. Jerk gave me a ticket even after I explained why I was driving like I was.

They should. I knwo some places actually have a minimum speed limit, I cant say I have ever known anyone to get a ticket for it though.

I got stopped once when I was going under the speed limit, I didnt knwo it because my truck had been dropped and my spedometer was off, they said i was being suspicious by going so slow.

It happens but it has to be about 20 under for an officer to execute a traffic stop but will probalay just want to understand why the driver is driving so slow and will not write a ticket unless its blocking or slowing traffic extremely.

In SOME places they do. There are posted MINIMUM speed limits.

And a big heads up to you Stoners...the easiest way to tell that a driver is high on whacky weed is that they are going 7 miles an hour in a 35.

Some places do have minimum speed limits. Otherwise, try to be grateful they are only driving the speed at which they can control their vehicle.

if there is a minimum posted, they should. If there is not, the posted speed limit is the maximum. Anything under that is fine.

we have some parts of Texas that are 75, even 80. You get someone going 50 on those roads and it is more dangerous than any speeder could be.
