If you are only moving it a few feet and keeping it upright there should be no problem.

if it is necessary to unplug the refridgerator, wait until the compressor is no longer running and unplug it from the wall. i suggest using an extension cord to a different outlet to keep the contents cold. finish up your tile and simply repeat the process in reverse.

when moving any appliance with freon gaz inside, you have (MUST) switch it off, YES AND .... let it rest for at least one hour before powering up. Gaz has to settle so it can be in contact with the frying plate. Otherwise you will burn the frying plate inside...

it would make it easier to switch it off , u could just unplug it then tile then plug it back in again
