My exboyfriend and I went thru so many breakups...basically because he had more fun partying than being a boyfriend. Anyway, He is the type of ex that I cannot have any contact with ..and he will email me like we are good ole' pals and he tells me how fantastic his life is etc....Im just disgusted by the whole thing and I decided to write that Im seeing someone really nice and would like to see what develops I wish you well with your future but would rather not have contact with you anymore. Deep down i was trying to hurt him...I know its childish to want to hurt someone that has hurt you. I want him to believe he isnt my #1 anymore...even though i am dating a really nice guy I still hold a flame for this other guy ...messed up huh?

Well isn't he trying to hurt you by keeping in contact and telling you how great his life is going ? I truly believe that if you loved someone and the relationship didn't work, you cant be friends. Its way too painful. I dont even try it. I have a recent ex that wont stop calling either. I just dont answer. My reasoning is if he wanted to have me in his life then he would have made it work. Otherwise I dont need him in my life at all.

You're making a smart move. Usually ex's don't keep in touch with one another. He shouldn't it be shoving it in your face about how fantastic his life is. Its not really fair. Stop talking to him for awhile. Enjoy the new guy and get over him first before you speak to him again.
