I watched something on T.V. about this very town a few months ago. I agree 110%. If each city would make a sweep for illegals instead of catering to them then the illegals would start going back to Mexico and stop trying to turn even our smallest towns into the Barrio. When my husband and I met 12 years ago I lived in a cute little apartment right in town. Now unless I have to go that way I won't even go by that area because it is overcrowded with Mexican Illegals who have turned the complex into the slums. They hang their raggedy clothes out on the balcony, the parking lot looks like a dump. It it truly disgusting. If they must be here the least they can do is respect our property.

Finally - some cities are taking action - 2 more cities in Pa started the same thing yesterday.
Sad our federal govt. has not considered middle-class Americans until this lawbreaking got so out of control! What is even sadder is that it is both democrats & republicans for the illegals so no matter which way we vote we are taking a chance...I think I'll try republican this time - they have the most to lose (the White House)

I do not know why these people cannot come here through legal channels. If they want to be in the US sooooo bad, then do it the right way, or risk the consequences. I really don't care about how they "suffer" when INS or the Boarder Patrol cracks down on them, it's their fault. So, yes, there should be raids like that all over the place, kick those people back to where they came from and let them apply for permission to live here like everyone else!

I think they've kind of known for a long time that illegal immigration is a problem, but have chosen to let it go forward anyway. Enforcing the laws is a good step forward...

ILLEGALS are the very reason i will NOT eat chicken, because 90% of the plant workers are ILLEGALS!!!! Spreading their diseases onto the food....GROSS!!!
And, the article said they also work at the M&M plant, hmmmmm......could THIS be the reason the M&M factory got such a BAD health report???? MICE droppings and ROACHES were found at the M&M plant!!!!

The easier solution would be for immigration officers to walk into a business and if a buch of people run or illegals found then take away the business. If they don't have jobs they leave and we don't have to pay alot for new immigration officers to chase them through the woods.

I agree. Americans would have jobs if they weren't being undercut by illegals working for slave wages .50 cents on a dollar.

Good start. But not enough.
NOW what they need to do is find whiny Katrina refugees, or any other schmuck who says "there aren't any good payin' jobs," and put them in this town.
There are empty trailers.
And factory jobs.
It's a straightforward solution to several problems.

I think they should do that everywhere. Specially in Texas. Just think if they raided here then so many homeless and ones who cant find cheap rent could have their choice on where they wanted to live.

Good!
Did you hear about the people who were caught employing over 1,000 illegals, they have agreed to surrendor 12 million dollars of their profits from their business - and they will be going to trial.
I think we should use that 12 million to deport!
