What causes my head of hair to have different hair textures throughout?

some parts are smooth and curly other parts are more kinky

because if you are like a lot of things for example irish and black your hair would change black to blackish red it depends on your family genes

The kinky parts are probably the areas that are being rubbed against stuff all the time. This is really bad for you hair folicules and can cause breakage. You should put your hair up sometimes.
