If we know that the creation had a beginning and we know that the beginning was caused, there is one last question for us to answer--what was the cause? The Bible tells us that God was the cause. We are further told that the God who did the causing did so with planning and reason and logic. Romans 1:20 tells us that we can know God "through the things he has made." The atheist, on the other hand, will try to convince us that we are the product of chance. Julian Huxley once said: "We are as much a product of blind forces as is the falling of a stone to earth or the ebb and flow of the tides. We have just happened, and man was made flesh by a long series of singularly beneficial accidents"

So, were we created, ord did we just happed?

Just happened, so far as we can tell from available evidence. We simply don't know now: the debate tends to be between those who create an answer and look for support, and those who look at evidence and infer an answer.

in advaita vedanta philosophy we usually refer to the time before creation like that of deep sleep. in that there's no thoughts, so you're naturally not aware of anything even though phenomenal existence is supposedly still going on. once you wake up everything is there all in one moment. there's no real boom when you wake except for maybe the alarm clock. the reality of creation is a tricky one and we try to point that when you were in deep sleep, you weren't conscious of anything as if there were no creation, yet you remained to exist, technically your body didn't disappear just your mind. to investigate that is to tear the veil from mysteries of birth and death. to see who you really are.

and by the way creation and desctruction of numerous universes is going every single moment, even right now ;). peace :)

In as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd

We just happened to be created. I have studied medicine to a small extent and everything I've learned points to a plan and not a haphazard series of events.

The beginning of your question is the key point: You wrote 'IF' we know that creation had a beginning - but we don't know that. 'IF' we know the beginning was caused - well we don't know that either.

Therefore since neither hypothesis in the beginning of your post has been established, the rest of it is irrelevant and meaningless.

The universe is eternal & infinite. The entire universe is "alive."

There was no creation and there will be no end.
