It would depend..
The difference between that and pets is that pets are much simpler animals than us.. If a dog was, say left in the house, a common response is it would get lonely and anxiously await the Masters return, because its needs are much simpler doenst know any better.
Now, if a human were a pet, it would be a much different thing. If i were left home alone, not allowed to go outside and only had a bowl of water and some Special formula bread to eat, Id be pissed.. My needs would be breached
If i were enslaved by a master who met all my needs(physical and emotional), I would welcome that,(in a way, thats what the government acts as) but as soon as the master pulls on the coller, I would begin to bark

My pets are not inferior beings.I treat them with as much respect and consideration as I want to be treated by others. If not more so.
God put man above the animals. And I do not think for a second that HE did so for us to treat animals poorly.I want to believe that anyone who mistreats them in any way is dealt with far more harshly than we as humans could ever imagine.
I keep my dogs very active. One is neutered because one of his testicles was locked.I did'nt want to do it.But I did'nt want him to end up with prostrate cancer either. The other dog is not nor will he be.
I'm very unconcerned about him running off and mating because every day is a new adventure for my boys. They are never far from my side or out of my sight.I make sure they get plenty of exercise both mentally and physically. And if there's a strange scent in the air that the un-neutered one is beckoned by he's too tired to go check it out and mom might go somewhere or do something he'll miss.
And no I don't think I'd like what you've described but I've lived in far worse conditions and not only survived but became a better person for having to live in those conditions.
I've never had to put down an animal. And I pray I never do.But if any of them get so bad off that I know every second of every day is sheer misery for them and I can do nothing to help keep them comfortable but I can let them go to a place where there is no more pain then so be it.And I truly hope someone loves me that much that they'd do the same for me rather than use me for a guinea pig, shoving drugs into me by the fistfuls to find out what prolongs my misery and what won't for future reference.

I am not an inferior creature. If I were someone's pet (like I'm someones employee, family member and friend) I would abide by my "owners" rules. Just like you do as an employee, family member and friend.
The difference is that animals can't be trained out of certain sexual behavior, and they don't know any better. I do.
And I believe that everyone has the right to choose a dignified, painless death rather than linger for weeks in agony just because SOMEONE ELSE (keepers? law makers? You decide) decides that euthanasia is wrong for humans.
EDIT
I also don't believe animals are inferior beings. I believe we all have a place in this world. Just by refering to pets as inferior, you have proven that you don't respect animals.
Tell me what would happen to Chihuahua's and Chinese Crested dogs if we suddenly let them "go back to the wild"? They would die. They are only alive because humans protect and feed them. Domesticated animals are our responsiblity. We created them, we are responsible for them, not Aliens, not Satchquach.

God gave us dogs to teach us His quality of unconditional LOVE..I have yet to meet a person with that same quality..Yet we are blessed with dogs to teach us what no one else can..
My heart goes out to any who would consider them enslaved! It is a symbiotic relationship..I know my dogs wouldn't choose to live anywhere else, as they love being by my side..
One of my dogs got lost in the woods..He was gone for 12 days..He should have been able to fend for himself, as he is a hunting breed, and very skilled in self protection..However, after 12 long days, he found a B&B, and asked them for help...they called me to tell me that they found him...when I drove up he FLEW into my car as soon as I opened the door....He had had his chance to live without me, but was certainly glad to get back home...He was just skin and bones, poor baby..I thought he would never stop eating!

Should we let the sick animals suffer a slow death and die of natural causes from their sickness?
So it would be better to let the all the baby puppies and kittens die of starvation rather than prevent the birth of future offspring?

One un-altered cat can produce 420,000 kittens in seven years and 10 million in 10 years. Do you really want to live in a world that is dominated by animals that are diseased and filthy? I think we are doing a favor to our animals by having them neutered.

if I had the mentality of an animal and someone were to do as you've said, then yes, it'd be ok with me. As a free thinker and believer, I would try to escape and rebel against the "master" of whoever tried to quell my love of freedom....

Well, if it meant I didn't have to do the rat race of working everyday, I'm all for it.
If I pee all over Sasquatch's carpet or try to hump its leg, then maybe I would need to be neutered.

Our babies and toddlers are also raised the same way, should we just release all of them into the wild as well?
AR idiot. You people are never really interested in ANY kind of truth are you. Just keep spewing your lies and ridiculous misinformation.
To those of you who SUPPORT HSUS, PeTA, DDAL, IDA and the like, THIS is what you are supporting! This is the kind of crap they really believe in, only most of them are smart enough to hide it!

the animals you are talking about were breed to be pets....they were breed to a specific purpose....and many of them would not survive without the help of us....that being said....NO i would not...and I don't look at my pets being inferior...they are part of my family....and they believe me to be part of theirs (the pack mentality if you will). They help me, i help them, everyone is happy.
