Because they are all competing for the same suckers.
There are only so many suckers to go around, and they want as many as they can get.

One religion cannot be proven over the other. I dont believe any religion is better than any other either. But people are raised to believe what their parents believed and their grand parents, and so on. Most peoples beliefs are based that way. I believe it takes a very strong person to admit that their religion is not the only one out there that may be true. Those are the true believers in each faith. The "high and mighty" ones are the radicals, the fundamentalists, the wackos, of each religion. They are the ones that believe theirs is the only true religion and no one can tell them differently. They are the ones that judge others by what they believe, not the person they really are. These people are the one that cause religion to have negative undertones. They are the ones that are going to be surprised when their God turns his back on them for not practicing their religion the way it was mean to be.
Just my opinion.

Jesus made claims about Himself that nobody else made--that not only is He the only way to God (John 14:6; 1 Timothy 2:5), but His teachings cannot be separated from who He is. What He taught cannot just be neatly packaged and separated from who He is like other teachers who might have insightful sayings but that's about it. Jesus taught that He is the only way to God, and the evidence for His resurrection from the dead shows that He has done what nobody else can do and that people need to seriously examine the evidence for themselves as to why Jesus is unique, and that He is the only way to God. This isn't a "high and mighty" thing at all, just a consideration of what is true or what isn't. Either what Jesus said is true, or it isn't--there's no in-between.

Hi,
Imagine a new religion. The people who are trying to sell the religion on the street corner say, "Here is a new religion. It's really great. But of course, there are a whole bunch of other religions that are also good and we can't really say that ours is any better than any others and we are not really sure that the one true God really considers this to be the one true religion."
They won't get too many people to sign up and pay their money - would they ?

You are wrong. Jews do not claim that Judaism is the only true religion. All the righteous of the nations have a share in the world-to-come. Jews were "chosen" for special obligations, not for special rewards!
