It's not strange at all. I'm really glad that I grew up in an area where it was completely normal. People are people.
And some people just get on better with members of the other gender. And it can be really helpful to talk about relationship issues with someone who has personal experience of the other side.
I really doubt that he's sleeping with all of the women on his cellphone without you realising it -- how would he have enough time?
I've always had 'little brothers.' It's a different quality of friendship than with women. I've since moved to an area which is less accepting of this sort of thing and I miss it dearly.

A guy and a girl as friends are doing nothing but trying to see where they could eventually end up being. A real boyfriend doesn't want to missuse trust or hurt the girl he is trying to keep around, truth be told, he's living as single guy who hasn't found one to settle down with. Best thing to do is mirror everything he does, go out shopping with guys then you can see if he really appreciates yo u.

He sounds like a player or maybe gay. It's common for gay men to have straight female friends. Not so common for a straight guy to have alot of women who are just "friends". Plus most straight guys hate to go shopping. The straight guys I have known tend to have mostly guys as friends. If there's no indications that he's gay it sounds like the old "those other women are only friends" lie.

my friends except for 1 are female. guys are really insecure and it sucks to be around them for the most part . theyve got this stupid *** contest thing going on that they just cant get over. when around women you dont gotta put up with that lame crap and all the hang ups guys have that go along with it - nothing to do with gay - women are awesome and fun to hang out with. sure theyre stimulating in every way -thats kind of a turn on- out side of that its just a real way to interact without all the 2 yr old bullshit!.

I have many female friends that I keep platonic relationships with. We go shopping, out to the clubs and bars, or we just hang out. I am very attracted physically to them, but I just want friendship from them.

A little odd if ALL his fiends are girls. It could be he's not being true to you. Or it could be he has some serious issues with relating to others of the same sex (other guys)
