I found this article that asserts that there are some 200,000 Americans are living illegally in Mexico, mainly in Baja California and Mexico City. Are these figures real? (http://migration.ucdavis.edu/mn/more.php?id=392_0_2_0) Why would so many Americans live in Mexico?

I know retiring to Mexico is becoming more popular since the cost of living is lower there.

This man I knew sort of he used to come into my job anyways his wife was pregnant with twins so when she was almost due to deliver they went to Mexico and that's where she delivered. He said they delivered in Mexico because they would have more options being Mexican Citizens. I think he said they got free health care and free education well free university education and some other benefits. Now i have never heard of anything like this but he said that's why they had their kids there. Both he and his wife are u.s. citizens.

believe it or not, if you are an american citizen who lives and/or work in mexico, when it comes to tax season and tax breaks are much better.
baja california is right on the border. as it is easy for us to go over there , it is easy (if you have the correct paperwork,)for them to come over here.

Well, they are welcome to clamp down on them. Why do they think these people are illegal, however, I wonder?
And we have our crooks who may be dashing across the border, and we have people who probably overstayed, not thinking about it. However, they should follow the laws of Mexico on immigration, of course.

Not sure, but I sure wouldn't want to get caught over there being illegal. Their punishment can be awful cruel.
