I think with a Yorkie i would give it sometime. With our Yorkie his name was rusty because he had so much of one color. Well needless to say in 2 weeks we changed his name I didn't know their colors changed so much. His name is Ruckus which believe me suits him to the T lol. See what type of personality your puppy has and go from their. I would stay away from colors though as they do change in appearance.

I have a male yorkie and I named him Sampson. Just be patient with him if you haven't had one before. They are hard to house train. It took my husband and I about 2 yrs before he was fully trained....he's almost 3 yr. So be patient and take him out if possible at the same time. Good luck. They make great dogs.

I like nice's answer. I was going to say anything that reminds you of christmas. I always give my pets people names. Remember a dog only hears the first syllable of anything you say, so keep the name short

I accept as true with the others. do no longer BREED YOUR dogs till you're a qualified breeder. There are tens of millions upon tens of millions of completely healthy dogs AND doggies that get placed down each 12 months because human beings imagine it could be exciting to reproduce their dogs, and there'll change into an overpopulation of them. tens of millions. imagine about what number it really is. think about 100 dogs pumping out a muddle of 5 each 2 months for ten years and no matter if you saved each puppy, it might nonetheless dwindled in evaluation to the quantity that receives KILLED each 12 months by skill of shelters. in case you want a clean puppy, please undertake one. There are healthy, lovable doggies at shelters only yearning for properties, waiting for some hero to come back and take them far flung from their little crowded cages and keep them from being euthanized. imagine your little yorkie, being strapped to a table, and a needle inserted into his neck. The dogs tries to warfare to flee, he would not understand what's happening, all he needed became a kin to love...and shortly he's amazingly nonetheless, useless. that takes position to thousands upon thousands of doggies a month. no longer only previous ill dogs. doggies. dogs reminiscent of yours. Please, please do not make contributions to that.

I would wait until after you get him and have had him for a couple of days to see what kind of personality he has. Also, there are several good websites for pet name ideas. Just go to Google or Yahoo and search for "pet names". Congrats and good luck with your new baby!
