You can usually book it up to 1 yr in advance (most hotels and such do not take reservations for longer than that).
Most wedding timelines will tell you to do it around 6 months before the ceremony so that you have time and can get better deals (personally I would go as close to 9 months as you can but still be hitting the off-season, you can often get the off-season prices held over).

You can book it now. You can typically book one year in advance. Some places will tell you to call back after the new year if this is the case then you will want to call right after the new year! But, I would go ahead and try to book it now. Also, a lot of places will allow you to cancel the honeymoon if you need to. Not, necessary for cancel of the wedding but like if you change your mind where you want to go or a family issue (a death in the family or something)

As soon as you can- depending on where you want to go. Just make sure you have the option to cancel. Even with a cancellation fee, it's better than a company closing/being sold/destroyed by hurricaine etc.
And for crying out loud buy the vacation insurance!
If you dare do it on your own through an online service, remember, you have no travel agent to help you out in the event of a problem.

Call a local travel agent. That far in advance you can usually get a very good deal on a hotel, but a horrible deal on the plane tickets. They can get you the hotel, and let you know when the plane tickets will be more affordable.

I guess that really depends on where you want to go, but I would say the earliest is about a year before... so you could theoretically have booked it already.

The earlier you do it, the better. If you book early, the flights and hotel rooms will also be a whole lot cheaper.

Try the travel sites like travelocity and orbitz and that one that Captain Kirk pimps....priceline I think? and call local agents...sometimes if you call the hotel directly, they can give you a better rate than whats online....get rates from the net, then call a hotel you like and ask if there are any specials

As soon as you know FOR SURE where you're going and when. It's costly to cancel, so make sure that nothing will change in your plans.
