Don't let anyone on here put you down either. It is a hard thing to do - lose all that weight.

There's no way it's gonna happen unless you're already pretty heavy. I started out at 170 and it took me 6 months to lose 30 pounds. I was eating plain turkey breast for lunch, cheerios for breakfast with a banana and some fruit throughout the day and pretty much no dinner or just an energy bar or something. AND I was doing the elliptical machine 6 days a week for an hour and lifting weights on at least 4 of those days. I busted my *** and I was happy with the weight loss but it was a tough road. I'd say you should set a realistic exercise/diet and see what happens. Setting lofty goals like that will only make you disapponted and want to quit. Just be healthier and make a conscious effort and it'll all fall into place.

You should stick it out-not just for the guy. The need to lose weight is a health crisis in the US. Being overweight will only cause you more health problems in th future. You may be feeling the strain from the exercise because you haven't done it in so long. You won't die from slimming down. Just make sure you drink LOTS of water before and after each work out and watch your diet so you can continously lose the weight you want. Hey, it doesn't help to have the hot guy as motivation either :O)

When setting goals, you need to be realistic or you will suffer from feeling like a failure. 70 pounds by Christmas is not a realistic goal even with the exercise schedule you have. Any more than 10 pounds a month is unhealthy. And the best way to be healthy is to get fit, and you can be fit without losing 70 pounds. It takes a healthy lifestyle, eating right and exercising to be fit. And eventually you will reach your goal. The best way to get a guys attention is to be beautiful on the inside.

You are so funny! Ok. The best way that I have lost weight is to do a 30 minute Tae Bo video every day at least once, and cut out on all of the chips and candy bars. I also did stomach crunches every day, (I know this sucks, but it really works!) I also threw on my headphones and went for a fast walk for about 40 minutes as often as I could. (Maybe once a day or every other day.) Save the money from your excercise classes and get outdoors. Then it won't be so tortuous. I lost 50 pounds in about 2 months after the birth of my first child, and again lost 45 pounds after the birth of my 3rd child, and it has stayed off. Best of luck to you! I hate that we as women feel the way we do about ourselves. Even if the weight doesn't come off, be proud of yourself for sticking to your efforts! You will feel better about yourself!

By doing that much exercise you are risking injury, it would be much better to cut your calorie intake and do a sensible amount of exercise, even if you dont lose the weight as quickly. Also when you modify your eating habits and get used to regular exercise you have a better chance of keeping the weight off.
If you do it your way, your body will be worn out by the time you lose the weight, you may have an injury that will mean that you have to give up the exercise for a while and then you will be more prone to gaining the weight back.

70 pounds by Christmas is not realistic and not healthy!!
No more than 2-3 pounds per week is healthy weight loss. No more than an hour or so of exercise a day with a day off here and there to recuperate. You didn't put the weight on overnight and you can't expect to take if off that way either and keep it off!!

A lot of people think there's no way to lose that much weight in three months with out starving yourself and there probably right. I lost 30 pounds in a three months but I didn't have to kill my self at exercise classes. I did it on my own. I drank nothing but water and skim milk, I didn't diet i just changed my life style no fast food or junk food at all and just limit my portions. I worked out in my bed room dancing to the radio and running on my gazelle. I wasn't even trying to lose all that weight it just started falling off. If you don't do this the right way every bit of wieght you lose will come right back probably even more.

If you don't have his attention now then get rid of him. He should love you for you and that is the bottom line. Taking all those classes are good for you but if you stop taking them you will gain the weight back. I know, I am in the same boat as you but my man loves me for me. He met me when I was hot and now I have gotten lazy but he still loves me. Lose the weight, it will make you feel better but do it for you not for him and don't kill yourself trying to do it. Find a diet that works for you. Weight watchers worked for me and take it one step at a time. Good Luck

I am in a similar boat. I want to loose 80 pounds but not by Christmas. You are going to kill yourself going to that many exercise classes. If this guy doesn't like you for yourself then you don't need him. Let us know about your progress. Good Luck!

Well, I wouldn't say you're nuts, but I would say you're overdoing it. It's great that you want to lose weight and get back in shape, but if you want to do it correctly, do it slowly. If you lose 70 pounds in three months, you'll gain back 90 by next Christmas. Make your goal to lose the weight and keep it off, so take your time.
