Go to a shrink. Seriously, if you are experiencing physical symtoms because of the thought, you need more help than what you will find here. That is the sign of an unhealthy fear of death (as if there is a healthy fear) and can lead to paranoia, dementia, and thoughts of suicide, and self destructive behavior, unless that has already started, and you just didn't state that! No one lives forever. But today is not your day. Live long and prosper.

You need to talk to someone about this. Everyone at some time in their lives will think about death it is inevitable, but you have taken this to an extreme. It is not mentally healthy to think like this, you will never take risks and live this life to the full. Talk to someone was you can be reassured. Also death is not such a bad thing, it is just an end to an episode!

i have a similar problem...sometimes i get to thinking about my parents and i have a fear that they will die soon, and it scares me to death...i get nervous and i guess i sort of panic when i think about living life without them, but i guess we just have to think of it this way....there's absolutely NOTHING we can do about death. why worry about what the future holds, why worrry about what the past held, the only thing you can do is live each day to the fullest. put your worries towards something else....help someone else along the way.....death will come exactly when it's supposed to and there's nothing you can do to change it!! if you need some help with your anxiety, i suggest you talk to a therapist, but don't keep suffering this phobia unnecessarily. good luck to you!!

I think you have Generalized Anxiety Disroder. Tell your doctor and he will give you very safe, very simple medication that will eleviate the thoughts. You will actually cause early death and will ruin your remaining days if you don't get these meds. They're called antidepressants, but aren not for depressed people only. Anxiety can be gone. Talk to your doctor... life's too short as it is.

I think about death mostly everyday. I know we are only here for a short while so I make the most out of everyday.

death is the natural progression of life. We all face it. You waste time worrying about something you can do nothing to change.
If it has become an obsession, as these types of thoughts can, then let me urge you to seek counselling.
