A person who has OCD will do this. I have OCD and I would do it. It doesnt matter that you drove 1000 miles.. the anxiety overrides the need for leisure time or the pleasure of the visit.
In order to relive the anxiety the person needs to perform the compulsion( which in this case would be washing the bugs off the car.

Guilty. I travel to Ohio from Tennessee and I have to stop at least once an hr and clean the bugs off my car. Yes I'm anal.

I don't. The car can wait a week or two. I'd rather rest and enjoy my time off. Speaking of long trips, I will be taking an 1800 mile drive in two weeks. My car will have to wait.

as quickly as I meditate I constantly finally end up taking my concepts to the comparable place- our previous farm out in North Dakota. as quickly as I concentration adequate, i will hear the sound of the gravel street under my feet as I walk and that i will hear the sound of the wheat fields tossing in the wind. as quickly as I concentration much extra, specially situations i will sense the sunlight pressing down on me. this is not in all threat an imaginary place nevertheless, considering that I honestly have bodily been there many situations.

He has to get the windshield at every pit stop as well. Can't even say hello to anyone before the bugs are gone!

Sounds more like obsessive-compulsive disorder. People who have that disorder can't help being that way. Don't you ever watch "Monk"?
