You can do it.

Start at the side of the head by taking a fine section of hair (4 cm approximately) and spray a light mist of ghd Iron Oil onto the section and comb through. Place a ghd waver at the root of the section and loop the hair around it moving from root to end in a figure of eight motion. Use both hands until all the hair is securely wrapped around the waver. Hold the waver in-between your index finger and thumb and, starting at the root, carefully place the ghd styling iron along the waver holding for 3 to 5 seconds each time before gently unwinding. Repeat this process with each new section of hair but on the top sections place the waver about 4 centimetres from the root to avoid creating too much volume.

A ghd is best to do this, once it is hot you open it up and take a section to curl put the hair in between the iron still holding open then wrap the rest of your hair around, once all your hair is wrapped close the iron and hold for approx 5 - 10 seconds, then pull the straightners downwards while slowly opening and wala you have fab curls, once you've finished them all spray with a good hairspray to hold. Ghd curls look fab once done right. good luck :--)

There is a way. Use the ROUNDED part of the straightner and pull your hair in a curling motion. If your straightner is flat on both sides, it's way trickier and you run a major risk of frying your hair.

Well first you need a good straightener, like a CHI iron, and second it has to have a rounded edge wich means aroungd the edge of the plate it has to be smooth and rounded and not have a corner there. Third it is not an easy task especially if you are doing it to yourself it takes alot of practice. You have to do it in one continuous motion. If I was you I would stick to a curling Iron when curling your own hair.

you take the straightner, clamp it on your hair, and go downward, then flip it away from your face. if you do it that way, you should be left with little wing-like strands. i dont know how you would actually "curl" your hair with it unless you use a curling iron. sorry if i don't answer your Q completely.

honey no no no you can not curl your hair with straightners you need a curling tong.you get them in tescos and asda.forgot the price love.
good luck and dont use too much of it on your hair because it could damage the tips and leave you with split ends honey so use a leave in cream like the one from andrew collinys good luck love.

don't twist your hair around and clamp you may end up burning your hair!! i constanly curl my hair with ghd straighteners and am always happy with the result! get a section of hair and go to straighten your hair as usual but instead rotate the handle 360% away from your head as you pull the straightener down the piece of hair. its hard to explain so that it makes sense but make sure you keep the ghds moving-if you leave ceramic straighteners in one place for to long your hair will frazzle and break off!! ignore it when people say its hard, its really simple and you get a better result than a curling iron!!

You can't curl your hair with a straightener, you need to use a curling iron or hot curlers to do that
