I think they are SICK and give those of us who ARE Christian a bad name. Just like the Islamists give Muslims a bad name.

I think MANY if not all denominations are so narrow-minded in their views on things, and think they're the only ones who have anything right! Or as my pastor calls them, "abominations". I agree with her. They are abominations. That's why I'm a non-denominational Christian. I certainly believe, however, that there are Godly people in all denominations. It's the denominations themselves I don't like.
Anyway, I didn't hear about the church that is protesting the funerals of the Amish children. But I think that's disgusting. They're getting their noses into business that is not theirs, and giving our Lord a bad name in the process!
It's so sad that people who claim to love God can be like that.

I think that its horrible and unChristian.
I found this info at the link following:
The Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kan., planned to boycott funerals for the victims Thursday and Friday. The church claims on its Web site that the shooting spree was carried out by a "mad man" in retribution for Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell's "blasphemous sins against WBC." The site says Rendell "slandered and mocked and ridiculed and condemned Westboro Baptist Church on national Fox TV" and that he "revealed a conspiracy to employ the State's police powers to destroy WBC in order to silence WBC's Gospel message."
Both Amish and non-Amish "English" residents of Lancaster County vowed to not let any protester get anywhere near the funeral services.

as properly to the different posters: The previous testomony, The Septuagint [translated from Hebrew to Greek someplace 250 BC] replace into in located at that factor, used even till now Jesus' time. the hot testomony replace into written 35-one hundred advert and translated to latin with the aid of St Jerome, specially situations 4 hundred advert. it remains on parchments and study in the church, or preached orally. So, there is not any NEW TESTAMENTS IN A e book/BIBLE variety at that factor compiled with Septuagint.' Bible by myself' thought isn't in existence at that factor as there is not any e book to call bible. It replace into using Oral custom up till 1400 while the 'compiled e book variety bible' ultimately hit the printing press. In different words, it took the Catholic Church approximately 4 hundred years of accumulating, enhancing, and sorting the classic manuscripts and have been given revealed in 1400. there have been additionally a lot of uninspired writings [apocryphal books] that have been floating around that weren't cannonized.

If you are talking about Westboro "Baptist" church just don't even let that bunch of idiots bother you. As a matter of fact pull up the website and look into them. They consist mainly of the nut job that runs the thing's family. They really aren't worth the effort of your worries.
For those of you that asked for the link to these idiots it is www.godhatesfags.com. Take my advice, don't waste time trying to argue with them or coment on their website, it only makes them happy.

That is wrong. Just plain wrong.
There are extremists in every religion and Christianity is no exception. These are the type of people that protest at military funerals, shoot abortion doctors and carry 'God hates fags' signs. I guess they are free to call themselves whatever they want, but they are certainly NOT Christians.

I wish someone would line these westboro freaks against a wall and brutally murder some of their family members like these innocent children were killed.
Then let's see if they'd still be callous enough to think protesting at a funeral is a good idea.

I didn't know this happened but that just makes me mad! I have lived in places where the Amish live and they are the most peaceful people I have ever seen on this Earth. They don't mean anyone any harm what so ever. They just want to live the way they believe they should live and they don't push that belief on anyone else.

I'm a christian and I already sent my prayers out for their families because I cannot fathom how it must feel to lose a child and I hope I never have to find out. No one should have to die that young in such a horrible manner. The worst part of it to me was that the man killed himself too and took justice away from the families away. i hope they at least can be comforted in the knowledge that their children can await a warm reception in heaven and hopefully a ringside seat at the courthouse in Heaven.
