I recently dyed my hair for the first time, and I don't want it to become too dry. My natural hair is very oily though (i.e. if I do not wash it every day, it becomes greasy). Any suggestions? Thank you!

I love Biolage products. Yes, you will have to spend a little money, but they are so worth it. I use one Smoothing Shampoo and Conditoner from Biolage. It helps dry, frizzy hair. Which basically means its got some great moisturizing agents in it. In addition, I also use Back to Basics Sunflower Spray Leave-In Conditioner. All these products can be hard to find though, so when you see them snatch them up. Remember don't use much, professional shampoo and conditioners are about half as much use as the drugstore ones. Better for your hair too.

I am a cosmetologist and I would recommend Redken Color extend on a daily basis it is great!!! It protects your hair and preserves your color. You don't really need a deep conditioner unless your hair is already dry and brittle and if that is the case go to a salon and ask for a good condtioning treatment for colored hair they can mix something up that is tailored for your hair and apply it for you. It takes about 30 min and is not usually too pricey.

Use any conditioner formulated for color-treated hair. Just leave it on longer (pantene makes a good 5-min conditioning mask).

It you blow dry your hair a lot, definately use CHI Silk Infusion (put a dime sized amount in you palm and work it through damp hair, then blow dry). I swear by this stuff. It makes my hair so silky and doesn't weigh it down!
