A decrease in libido can be caused from diet because androgen hormones(such as testoterone{yes women have test as well}).Androgen hormones are made in part from cholesterol(chemically only two steps away from testosterone).Cutting down on fat will cause a drop in androgen levels if done in excess.Supplementing dehydroepiandrosterone(DHEA) might help a little. If you're dieting and suspect this may be the root cause then just limit you carbohydrate intake and be sure to eat enough fat.Removing fat completely from your diet is one of the worst things to do.You'll stop metabolizing body fat to some degree.Lack of energy could figure in as well.
You can read more on the effects of diet on testosterone.

depends. how many calories are you cutting? the body wil go into a 'survival mode' if caloric intake is restricted too much. the body will perceive that food supply is short and that energy should be conserved for vital functions. unfortunately, we may consider sex a vital function, but our body doesn't.
it is better to add back some calories and burn them off with exercise instead!
otherwise, if the calories restricted are mainly from fat, you might not be getting enough essential fatty acids which are needed to produce hormones and neurotransmitters. this would have a definite effect on libido. make sure you get enough good fat in your diet!

Calories provide energy.
Take away the energy, and your sex drive is on "low power"
Another answer could be this: When you exercise, your body releases endorphines and testosterone, the body becomes saturated with the chemicals and fatigue sets in.

If your calories drop too low your body gets tired, and loss of sex drive is one way to conserve energy.
Also, if your loosing weight fast, or too thin, or stressed about your weight- these things can curb your sex drive...
A temporary, short term lowering is not unusual with just regualr 'life'- if it lasts, talk to your doc, there maybe something more to it.
