I was in one for 3 years...I've been married now for 4.5years, so I would say that it was a lasting one.
Obviously it's not a long distance relationship now that I'm married...

my boyfriend and I had a long distance relationship for 1-2 years. It was hard but it was definatly something that needed to be done. Every couple of months we would fly out to see eachother and that helped alot, but its not for everyone. Some people need eachother every waking moment of the day. Depends on your personalities and exactly how eachother feels. Communication is the BIGGEST key to any relationship and it really plays a huge part in life if you are seperated for any amount of time. Just keep the lines open and dont neglect a phone call if you need one. Goodluck!!! :)

I met a guy on line & we had a long distance relationship for more than two years. It was Heaven, while it lasted. They can work, but it really takes effort & creativity!!
