A great prophet, I would think he is in heaven...

I know who Moses was, I know when he lived, I know his relationship with God and I know God buried him. I hear Christians say that if you do not accept Jesus in your heart, you are destined for Hell, even those who lived before the time of Jesus, who says that no one reaches the Father except through Him.

MishMash,
Who says he didn't? He knew God and he is accredited as being responsible for this being written:
Genesis 49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

And Jesus said:
John 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

And Jesus spoke about before that time:
John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

I think that Jesus knew more about what went on in the past better than we do because He was there, not as Jesus, but as God.

As he said:
John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
And they knew what He was saying, to the Jew it had special meaning:

59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
Such was their reaction.

There's more going on in your subject than any really know. But the scriptures lead us to the interpretation that we know.

What makes you think that Moses is NOT in heaven? He was Gods messenger to the Egyptian Children. Moses also came to Christ at the Transfiguration with Elijah. God did not let man bury Moses. Read the Old Testament and you will see and it is in the New Testament also. Alot of people ask questions like this and want others to give yhem the answer without looking up the answer themself in the Wod of God.

He did believe in Jesus considering Jesus IS God in flesh, and after Jesus died for our sins I'm certain Moses and others did accept the sacrifice he made (that is if you don't think they had knowledge of Jesus when they died or when they were in contact with God), but considering Moses DID see God, I'm quite certain he did since no one man can take the sight of God according to the Bible.

Who says he didn't accept Jesus? It's not as though everyone who lived prior to Christ coming to earth is going to hell. They have the same opportunity to accept Christ as do the billions who live after Christ. Some probably understood while they were alive that everything in the Mosaic Law was symbolic of Christ, and accepted Christ into their hearts before they died. Just because Christ didn't have a body, doesn't mean He didn't exist. He had a spirit, just like everyone else, before He came to earth.

Think about it, here's Moses, Abraham, Enoch, Elijah, Adam, and other good, great, and worthy prophets of the Lord. They did what the Lord wanted them to do, they did it without complaint, they understood why they were doing it - in short, they got it. And you think that just because Christ wasn't born yet that they couldn't accept Him as their Savior? That's crazy. These men were closer to God and His plan than anyone, save other prophets of God, and Christ Himself. To think that God wouldn't have, as part of His plan, a way for them and the billions who lived when they did, to return to Him presupposes that God doesn't love ALL of His children like He says He does. If that were true then two things, 1. Christ might as well have come before Able (of Cain and Able) died. 2. If you believe that God doesn't love all His children the same, then that means you think God is a liar, because He has said time and time again that He is no respecter of persons.

Moses never knew about Jesus. But he knows God told him about a prophet like him will come from among his brothers in the future for about a thousand years after him. Nostradamus was not yet there to tell Moses about the Christ and the Anti-christ too.

It is God Moses believed in. Christians believe that Jesus is God. Therefore, if Jesus had been here before Moses, would he have called him a blasphemer? Or would he have believed him to be part of God? That's the question.

According to the Bible (moses's story in particular)GOD said, do not worship any other God, except me. 10 commandments...so why then should we worship Jesus? (Yes I'm familiar with the trinity. Doesn't work like that for me)
Moses didn't go to Hell. (

Moses had a personal relationship with God. That is how he got to heaven.

Moses was listed in Hebrews 11 among the many before Jesus who had faith. Hebrews 11:13 says "These all died in faith..."

Jesus led captivity captive and gave gifts unto men (Ephesians 4:8). Before Jesus' death and resurrection, these were all held captive to Adam's sin - but they died in faith, looking for the resurrection of the promised Son. They all prophesied of that coming Son - from Moses to Malachi. The scripture says all that is required is believing in the One who was sent and that the just shall LIVE by faith.

Jesus did not exist in the time of moses...how can moses possibly know about Jesus?

Moses was counted as righteous not because of works but faith...

My answer to this came to me through a mormon friend when I asked her about baptising for the dead. The Bible tells about after Jesus died he went to purgatory and preached the gospel to the souls that were there. That was their chance to accept Jesus as the Christ and they could go to heaven. I think it 's in 1 Peter 3. I'm not totally sure of this. But.... regardless, I do believe that God is a Just God. He won't be unfair in His judgements.
