I have seen many people replying useless answers only to gain points. This is a great forum and let's not misutilise this . I 've been emailing to people who responded to my questions but after that no respopnse from them ...
Please answer only when you are serious about helping others with your knowledge !

I agree that some of the answers are useless and I have no idea why they want to accumulate so many points, it gets them nowhere.
It's not as though you would win a sheep station by gaining points.
I think the points just entitle you to more questions and answers etc.
I guess you have to pick out the good answers and just ignore the stupid ones or get rid of them.
So you see you have got a choice.
I also think that a little humour is not a bad thing either without being disgusting and hurtful to others.
There are some people on this forum who have a great sense of humour and laughter is the best medicine.

Totally agree with you on this one. People answering should reply with some basic knowledge based on the question being asked.

I agree with you, some people merely take this as fun and a challenge to earn points, but i think, answering properly can change someone's life if answered by serious and intelligent people. i hope people take serious questions seriously and reply keeping in mind, that their response is with the desire to help someone and not just play with someone's emotions. Well I wanted to learn bead stringing in Asia, not a single
worth answer did I receive, I got link of Malaysian website
through my collegue.
But not through yahoo's answers, I think most of yamsters are doing it just to gain points
