First of all..it depends on the family backgroud..all these crazy pple who've said that she'll be shunned from the family and community need to stop watching CNN and watch Disney movies for a change.
Yes, it's true that the ideal marriage is if the man converts because the kids generally inherit the fathers religion and culture by default. If he did not convert and is not forcing her to convert out of Islam then she is free to follow her religion to the best she can and who are we to judge what happens to her. God is the Judge. If she belongs to a good family (educated) then she will not be shunned or killed by her parents. They will eventually accept her.
