1. For muscles to stop hurting?
2. To feel results?
3. To see results?
4. For the workout *not* to seem like a chore?
I just finished my first 2 days of working out, after not having done ANY exercise in over 5 years! I'm not overweight, but I'm definitely not "fit" by any means, either... lol. i.e. I am in all-around horrendous shape, complete with jiggly butt syndrome... yuck! =D Also, I'm in paaaaaaain from these last two days. Any answers to the above questions, or words of advice / support? Thanks in advance, everyone! =)

it's gonna take a while for you to see results, it won't happen overnight. and it takes 12 times of doing something for it to become a habit, so keep at it everyday and soon it won't seem like such a chore. if it's hurting you that bad, you may be overdoing it. but congratulation for getting out there and doing something about your "syndrome". keep up the good work!!!

Hi Melon, Well, let me tell you: the pain should go away within 5 days of working out. By next week your muscles should have already got used to work. Then...results, it depends what you wany, but if what you want is a firm body, don't loose motivation, but it might take you up to a month to start seeing a change, and to really feel it and look like it, about three months. But 3 months is a safe timeframe that i can tell you it is gonna work.
Only thre first week hurts, this is the week called "Circuit" and after that you should follow a routine based on the different muscle groups, DON"T work all your muscles in one day or a group for more tha twice a wek: Is counterproductive: muscles fatigate and will decrease rather than increase.
I have been through what you are going through and i can tell you that only the first week is painful, only the first month feel uphill, from then on, is easy because it will become a lifestyle for you and not a "must" kinda thing.
Good luck and keep it up.
All things that are worth it take time and effort, if they didn't or anybody could do them just as easy, then what would the value be? A penny is not worth the same as a 100 dollar bill right? They are both money but the 100 bill costs more to get, this is a perfect analogy for what you want, so keep up and earn that body you want!

Hang in there!
The first time back to exercise after a long break is tough. You might feel sore for another three or four days. Take it really easy. Even if you spend ten or twenty minutes on a treadmill or other cardio machine at low settings, you're doing great. Make as fun as possible at the start, otherwise you're likely to leave and never return.
Feel results? Give it two weeks.
See results? You'll notice results in a couple of weeks. Others will start to see results after a month or so.
Get through this valley. You'll be glad you did!

i am in the same situation, i stopped working out a year ago b/c of a new job & my schedule & stuff that just came up, well i just signed up at a new gym a week ago & my body hates life!! lol and i too am not overweight or anything, i just would like to tone my body - but the good news is you feel so much more energized & happy that you are doing something good! Results, idk when they will start showing, i would like to know that myself - but just keep at it & people will start noticing!! if your muscle are hurting REALLY bad, you might be doing to much weight, try going one step lower & then when it doesnt hurt anymore, go forward - you dont wanna drain yourself to much that you wont go back at it again ya know? and you already are feeling the results! your muscles hurting is in a way a good sign, your doing your exercises right & you can feel the burn! just keep at it, think of the long run, i know it sucks until you actually SEE it your self but it'll be worth it! good luck & have fun =)!

All I can say is stretch BEFORE and AFTER any exercise. It will decrease the pain you feel after a work-out session and the days after. According to me, it will take about 6-8 weeks to see any convincing results. And I'm pretty sure you already feel the results as working out makes you feel better in your own skin.

Its accessible its your lungs and not your heart the place you sense the discomfort. that would make sense after workout. according to probability you have bronchial asthma. you additionally can in simple terms have heartburn. Its not common to tell with so little data. U would desire to ask your well-known practitioner.
