How do you know that?

Maybe you are the one who decides when you live and die?

I think you are the one who determines when it is your time to die.

from studying the bible, here are some answers:

1. God wants you to live a long life. it is not His will EVER for you to die young, or very sick. but His will isnt always carried out coz we have free will and the world around us to contradict to us other things.

2. You can choose to take your life, with free will and all. but thats not what God wants, and it is a sin to commit suicide.

3. there are men in the bible who once became an old age and had felt they had completed there tasks/life on earth that asked God to take them home to heaven. You may do this, but not for stupid reasons like "its all too hard". only when you know your time is up, which God will reveal to you

3. the age humans are SUPPOSED to live to (every person, no exceptions) is 120 years old, in full health. but unfortunately the curse of the world and the devil is around to see to it that people dont get to that age.

The bible tells you all about it. a great read :-)

Unless God comes down and specifically says he decided when some one died, you don't really know that's the case. People say it to avoid the pain of loss but it is not supported by anything.

Your actions, along with the actions of others and the behavior of the natural world all together determine when you die. All the evidence so far agrees with this conclusion.

I don't know that He does. I just accept that everything happens for a reason. I lost my nephew recently, and although it was tragic, and a great sacrifice, but my family is closer than ever. I doubt that we decide or suicide would be more prevalent.
QueenofMy...do you really think that only old people should die? And yes, I do believe in God.

That would be if God has anything to do in your life. If you do, then God is in control and if you don't- God is in control anyway. If you know this you know that is the way it is.

Do you think you can decide when you live? Really' When you die- if you kill yourself well... and then maybe.

The idea that God is responsible for every single thing that happens on Earth is maddening, if this be true then the only thing that could excuse his actions would be the fact that he does not exist.

He doesn't "decide" He already knows long before we're ever born. He just chooses not to do anything to change it.

God doesn't exist! I am an embalmer and I get WAY to many babies and children on my prep table for there to be a god...
