Of course we are a melting pot after all.
I think the chances of coming across people of different religions on a regular basis depends on where you live what what type of ethnic/cultural background your community has. While as if you live in the bible belt you are less likely to run into Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, etc.
Isn't if obvious that there are plenty of people in the world with different religious beliefs? The strange thing that if you break down all major religions the fundamental basics are all the same.

I just cannot see any two people having the same exact god beliefs. Even, Christian zealots have lively discussions of what is meant by various scriptures. So, I unless you are the sole inhabitant of another planet, how can you not to some degree accept others with different beliefs. Well, unless you annihilate all who belief even slightly differently than what you believe.

I know I incriminate myself and my presence here on this forum by saying this, but I don't know why religion (or lack thereof) can't be a private matter than you keep at home and take to the service of your choice on your holy day of choice. I am atheist and honestly couldn't care less what you or anybody chooses to worship. I find some of the belief systems misguided and enjoy debating the facts surrounding them, but I'm not here to talk anyone out of their religion. Still, I wish our society would allow the concept to be a much more private matter between you and you "God" and everybody would stay out of everybody else's religious business.

You realize this is a stupid question right? I don't mean to be insulting, but this should be obvious. Of course you're going to run across people with different beliefs. What kind of question is that?

Perish the thought. I thought you all agreed with me.
I heard a guy say once "If you and I are just alike, then one of us is redundant....and I have a very good idea which one."
Have a great day!
Hoping the best for you...

Yes and you will also run into people who are atheist but claim they are "agnostic" as a smoke screen.
