I've been there and done that. I think the way you family would react is important in event things would become serious. Dating is hard at times, and mixing races is harder then dating your own race sometimes. The truth about when i did it it had nothing to do with real compatibility it was just about attraction and after the heat cooled down there was much left and the cultural differences were apparent. Not to be a downer but i understand why if doesn't workout very often.

I don't see any-thing wrong with it, you can't help liking who you like some-time. It takes some people that you might know a little time to accept it and if they don't then too bad, as long as you are happy and being treated right then go for it. Sone-times it's the stares from people and the sneaky comments you hear, but just hold your head high, your arm tight on your mate and just walk on by with a big smile on your face and even say: Don't you wish you could be as lucky as me. Even if you date some-one in your own race people will find some-thing wrong with that person and talk about them, people always talk no matter what. So do what ever makes you happy.......................

I"m married to a man whose vietnamese/caucasian. He's the love of my life. I'm black, by the way. He's my best friend. Someone I can goof off with and someone I can get down and dirty with. He's perfect for me. We never have issues about race. We just don't notice it. And all of our friends and associates love us as a couple and wouldn't have it any other way.
Bottom line, fear stops people from dating outside their race. Fear of persecution from family and peers and fear that they might like it.
What i've found out is that everyone's the same. I've dated white azzholes just like i've dated black ones. One thing, though. For some reason, and maybe this is just my own personal experiences - white men are less likely to cheat. They seem to value commitments more. Maybe i'm wrong. But that's been my experience.

I'm all for it. When you fall in love with a person it's not because of what race they are....it's for who they are on the inside....good looks is always a plus too but still you know what I mean. My hubby of a mixed race and there are still some ignorant and old-fashioned people out there who stare at us strangely when we go out...but it doesnt matter. What matters is that you care for the person and they feel the same about you.

Dating is one thing but committing is another. I say go for it but understand that it is far more acceptible in the non-white community than it is in the white and among younger than older people. The fact that you ask this question means that you are a little worried about what other people think You should learn to deal with your insecurity but I fully understand why you are that way altho Our world has changed considerably since I married my black husband nearly 40 yrs ago.

Its should not be about race, weight, or who family he/she came from! But what counts on the inside. By inside, his/her personalities!!
I have no problem with dating outside my race, in fact i find it very intriguing to have a discuss with a different person from another race!

Dating outside your race shouldn't and isn't a big issue from my perspective. I think you can't judge a book by it's cover no matter what color the book is.

I think it's wonderful. I've been married for a long time to a man of a different race, and we have the most wonderful marriage, and a GEORGOUS son!

OK, here is the thing. Love supposedly has no race. I am a Chinese, my current boyfriend is black. But, reality is, you do have to face certain obstacles when inter-racial relationship happens. You need to be prepared! Other than that, enjoy!
