my partner wishes to work and live in australia how does he become a resident he comes from the U.S.A?

my partner is an U.S marine and is going to be moving here from the U.S. after dischaging out of the army. just want to know what he needs to do

I believe he will have to have a job waiting for him. The job would take care of his paperwork. Work visa, etc. Or just marry him.
