The 800 number has to be set up for international calling and the company that owns the number must request that from the telephone company. There is nothing the caller can do.

800 numbers are only available to use from inside the united states, very inconvenient as i would be able to call non stop if it was available from europe and save myself tons of money!

I dial my voice-mail from a german phone in germany to the USA, and it wont cost anything...but I put in the overseas code, the country code and then my toll-free phone-number...
