To all the negative answers I got from the previous question, I am searching for this dog because they have less alergens and my daughter has a history of respiratory problems but wants a dog. So, if you cannot give me a solid answer then don't even respond unless you just want POINTS!!! Do your research on this dog before you make stupid, judgemental comments.Thanks.

Cherry, sorry about the negative feedback before. Some ppl have no respect.

www.bestfriendbreeder.com

I have an F1 Labradoodle, No Shed and 100% HypoAllergenic (contrary to what you may hear..I actually have one), however, you will more likely to get one if it is first generation, thus a true breed.

Rates vary from State to State. You need to do careful research.

The Breeder I got my LD from is very Cautious about who they sell to and turn a lot of ppl away. They ship everywhere and sales are not done overnight..it takes weeks of communication.

Their LD's and Godlendoodles are already Crate Trained and Housebroken when you get them...which is awesome!

Take a look at their website. I am fixing to submit my testimonial so they can place my bio on their website.

Best of Luck

First, there is no such thing as a hypo-allergenic dog. There are LESS allergenic dogs. I would suggest just getting a Poodle (standard size), because the Goldendoodles, being hybrids, can favor the Golden retriever's hair type as an adult. Some Goldendoodles simply have a bit of a wave to their hair, while others have more of a poodle-type coat.
I would also suggest you look into other breeds, such as the Chinese Crested and the Laboradoodle. As with any decision, you want to see where the dog comes from. Visit the parents and see their personalities. If you are leaning towards a doodle hybrid dog, I would suggest a first-gen. This means that one of the dog's parents is a purebred, often registered Poodle (standard size is best) and the other parent is a purebred, often registered Golden Retriever, Labarador Retriever, or other mix. Good luck!

I read your other ques and the responses were not really negative. They are correct it's a fancy desinger mutt. I was going to say what above ^^ allready said there are other breeds with less alergens. Try just a poodle Golden Retrivers have long hair and I can't imagine them being less allergen than other dogs just because they are crossbred w/a poodle. Poodle or schnauzers are good for lower allergies.

I do agree you can't seem to get a dog for a decent price...but walk around the shelter you may just find a good dog there with the right amount of hair that your daughter will love.

Actually, they have been found to be just about as allergenic as Goldens. It is the specific dog, not the breed that people will be allergic to. For seeing eye dogs, they tested the puppies in the litters and found that the person was still allergic to the mixes as well. When they tested the individual puppies, they could find which ones, if any, the person would not have a reaction to. They found the same when just using Goldens or Labs, so they stopped breeding the mixes.

I've heard wonderful things about this combination dog. We've had Golden Retrievers for 35 years and love them, but since the Poodle is supposed to be better on the allergy problem it seems like a great cross. Good luck

I dont know if this will answer your question but if your child suffers with respiratory problems research the maltese breed. My daughter has BAD allergies and My mother-in-law who lives in my home has COPD and asthma. They can tolerate my maltese with no problems whatsoever. They do not shed. There is also a malt-e-poo that is not as expensive as the pure bred, that might be an option.

i don't know what your other question was, and i also don't know the question here? however if you are worried about your daughter's health, look into getting just a poodle or shnauzer. it's very hard to determine the level of shedding in the mixed puppies until they are older, you'd do better to just get a purebred poodle, schnauzer or one of the other non-shedding breeds, not a mix.

okay, i saw what your other question was, the deal with the price is that the more expensive ones are also the ones (usually) that have better breeding and shed less. you will pay more for one that doesn't shed as much.

Hey I don't know what the previous question was but I have two uncles that each have a golden doodle and they absolutely love them they are great for children very playful but they do grow to be pretty large. They are great for people with allergies and have one of the sweetest dispositions and the are very energetic. I would say that if you want one then go for it. Find a good breeder with a good reputation.

Here ya go! > http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=7097090
I hope Gigi is in your area, as she looks perfect!
However, if you go to this site and put in your own zip code, you will find poodle mixed dogs that are wonderful, and deserving of your home..> http://search.petfinder.com/search/search.cgi#

I see that you got a Golden Retriever 6 months ago, and were having troubles potty training him..so, I would think one of already house-trained dogs from the site above, would be better for your family..
Here is a list of dogs that produce low allergens> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypoallergenic_dog_breeds
Those would be the ones to look for on petfinder..
