The first one to kick the other one in the nuts. Or pull out a gun and shoot the other one.

But if it was a fight with rules the aikido fighter would win. Tai Kwan Do and Karate are similar but the aikido fighter would be trained in submissions and take downs.

The one that has the higher quality and frequency of training.

I know some people who have trained for ten years for a black belt and others that have obtained one in a years time, which one do you think has higher quality training?

Also, if the one guy is a taekwondo "specialists" but studies two martial arts isn't he really a mixed martial artist and not a specialist? While the Shotokan student studies only one art he would be more qualified as a specialist while the man that studies two arts is more a of a generalist.

Just as a rule of thumb, I would rather have one mighty oak than a forest full of saplings.

Regardless of style, the better fighter always wins. The person that has put in the most time and effort to learn and practice effective martial arts wins. A little old lady who's good with a cane will beat a partial artist.

AND the tae kwon do guy has a SPEAR!

Dude, I'm a fan of neither, but I'd say Shotokan as TKD is worthless.

I don't know. It depends on which one has mastered their art more. I would like to think that the taekwondo would win. I think it is a purer form of martial arts.

depends on which one has a natural instint instead of remembering certain movements to what a person does. i personally think karate sucks but its a fight not style.

it depends on how good the students are. and how much they know. how to defend is part of it counts too. any one can be good or win.
