magnesium is a muscle relaxant and will act as a laxative if taken in high doses (think milk of magnesia). by cleaning your system, is this what you are referring to?

if you are talking about laxative, be careful. don't overdo it. magnesium would take a few hours to work in this way. make sure you drink plenty of water.

It depends on what you are trying to clean ff your system......there are other ways. Just ASK!!
