Because for G-d to have a son would make him no longer be G-d. The messiah was not prophecied to be the actual son of G-d, nor divine.

And Yshua ben Ysef did not fulfill all of the messianic miracles, so, assuming he really DID do any of them, he was of the Adversary, not G-d.

The Jews had all the prophecies about the Messiah, but when He came, a lot of them didn't recognize Jesus as the fulfillment of those prophecies. IMO - what happened is that they interpreted the prophecies ahead of time and got it in their head what was going to happen. If you look back at some of them you can see how they thought the Messiah would come as a big military leader and liberate the Jews from their oppressive conquerors. But, if you look at Jesus - and then look at the prophecies, you can see He fulfills them. That is the direction prophecy should work. If you try to figure it out first, you can miss the boat.
IMO - this is what could be happening with Left Behind. If you read Revelation and other end times prophecies after reading the books you can see that it is a realistic sounding version of what the scriptures could turn out like. But... they are just a guess. If people base their beliefs on Left Behind and expect everything to happen just like those authors made it up, they'll be in for a shock. There is a danger in interpreting prophecy and putting all your stock in it.

When Jesus was ministering on the earth before He went to the cross, the signs were all there according to scripture. Many searched the scripture and found Him to be just as it was foretold and believed. Many saw the signs and how they lined up with scripture but did not believe. And there was division among the Jews over Jesus even while He was living pre-crucifixion.

And it's the same way today. Many Jews have searched the scripture looking for their Messiah and have found that Jesus is the fulfillment of all that is written. Many Jews search the scripture for the Messiah and still have not found their Messiah. And there is still division among the Jews over Jesus.

Millions of Jews acknowledge Jesus Christ as Messiah, God's only Son. They prefer to be called Messianic Jews.

Peace.

G-d has not begotten a son, unless you mean the metaphorical sense of all of us being G-ds children

They did and do... they just don't believe it's Jesus. King David is called God's "begotten" as is Israel (the nation itself... not the man). It is hardly unique to Jesus.
